| Pakistani Girl Pilot |
In the premature days of flight it was difficult for a Pakistani girl
to become a pilot and break into the male dominated kingdom of
aviation. The Pakistani girl pilots were often ignored and had to
overcome obstacles of discrimination that Pakistani girl pilots did
not apply to men. Some of these Pakistani girl pilots are fearless,
brave and very determined girls became family names for their daring
exploits. Pakistani girl's fighter pilots make history that one of the
first ever Pakistani girl fighter pilot of Pakistan Air Force.
Pakistani girl's pilots are allowed to enroll on its aerospace
engineering and Pakistani girl's fighter pilot programmes and are
doing rather well. To the great surprise of many men, some of the
Pakistani girl recruits will soon start flying jet-engine planes.
These trailblazers may still be few in number, but many instructors
and even some male cadets admit their presence is already being felt.
Until recently, most women in this conservative Muslim society would
more likely have imagined marrying a dashing Pakistani girl fighter
pilot than being encouraged to become one. The Pakistan Air Force
Academy maintains a degree of segregation between genders. Although
Pakistan girls march should-to-shoulder with their male counterparts
during early-morning parade, some parts of the training, particularly
physical exercises are carried out separately.
